How do PLO odds differ from Texas Hold'em?
In PLO, each player receives 4 hole cards instead of 2, and you must use exactly 2 hole cards plus 3 community cards to make your hand. This creates far more possible hand combinations, which means equities run much closer together. A hand with 60% equity in PLO is a much bigger favorite than the same percentage in Hold'em.
What are the best starting hands in PLO?
The strongest PLO starting hands feature four coordinated cards that work together. Top hands include double-suited aces like AAKKds, rundown hands like JT98ds, and double-paired hands with suits. Unlike Hold'em where pocket aces dominate, even AAxx in PLO rarely has more than 65-70% equity preflop against a reasonable range.
How many cards are dealt in Pot-Limit Omaha?

What does pot-limit mean in Omaha poker?
Pot-limit means the maximum bet or raise you can make is the current size of the pot. For example, if the pot is $100, the most you can bet is $100. This betting structure creates a different dynamic than no-limit games — you cannot shove all-in preflop (except in short-stacked situations), which means post-flop play is crucial in PLO.
Why must I use exactly two hole cards in PLO?
This is the fundamental rule that distinguishes Omaha from Hold'em. You must use exactly 2 of your hole cards and exactly 3 community cards. This means if the board shows four hearts and you hold one heart, you do NOT have a flush — you need two hearts in your hand.
